It’s the little things I’m going to miss…

Good afternoon Travellers,

I hope wherever you are the day that has arrived to greet you full of sunshine and warm breezes.  I hope you are well, and that you have found a few simple pleasures to fill your eyes, or ears, or mouths and soul with joy in this rather difficult time of our existence.

I was thinking this morning as I was making my bed about what is this world going to be like without handshakes? Because I can’t see that gesture returning to the fold anytime soon, can you? And I’m not fist bumping or elbow bumping, that just seems like an injury waiting to happen, doesn’t it? And where’s the sincerity with either of those?

A few Friday musings on marriage, metamorphosis, worms and money

It’s Friday Travellers,

And I have a lot of thoughts, maybe get a cup of tea for this…

I’ve been trying to add up the number in my mind of women whom I have met since my divorce, who are also divorced, and have quite emphatically told me that they’ve never been happier than well, being on their own. Happily divorced. SO HAPPY. Not fake happy, like glowy. And all ages, not just mid-life or late in life, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, I mean I bet it’s been near a dozen women now…some random strangers, almost like the universe is speaking to me…it just happened again last night.

Getting your ducks in a row

Buenas Dias Travellers,

Let’s just start with this amazing song I found last night on YouTube, love Lewis Capaldi’s voice, just yea…let’s start there, I just felt like wow, that is an unflinchingly honest break up song…and not sad either, just honest…I think we short change endings to stories that we perceive as unhappy.  I think necessary endings have a merit of their own…a sort of full circle completeness if you will…no one said every journey’s end would arrive with a smile on it’s face. And that’s alright…
