Heal us

Happy hump day Travellers,

I’m back at work for half days, which is weirder than I could ever have imagined. I’m alone there, in my office, my other colleagues are not working alongside me as usual. It’s like being a ghost of my former life.

As hard as it’s been to adjust to the safe at home agenda, I don’t think we’ve thought about what it’s going to take to recalibrate ourselves back to our regularly scheduled program. It almost feels like going back to school after summer as a kid, except it’s not…because most of us aren’t kids anymore.

Raising the Dead

Happy Halloween Travellers,

OR All Hallows’ Eve, OR my favorite to say and most intriguing by far, Dia de los Muertos! AKA Day of the Dead. Which sounds like the name of zombie movie, but it’s really not…

I’ve been thinking about this post in my mind for the past few days because I have so much to say and want it be as meaningful in words as it is inside myself. I’m not sure I can do that because I find when I try to be profound, I always fall flat on my face versus just let the words come out…

All the goodness

Early morning Travellers,

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but it drives me nuts when people say, “If I knew then, what I know now…I could go back and make a better choice.” I feel like that statement really belies the essence of how we make our decisions. We do the best we can do with where we are and what we know.

Also, I think we make our choices from a place I like to call our “you-ness” that is who we are inside our soul/energy/whatever part of Freud’s model of the psyche that you feel works to describe that part of you. And that you-ness is also shaped by all the experiences we’ve had in our life, how we let those mold us and our actions.
